LA Alexander Teaching Scholarship
Brief Description:
Financial Assistance if you:
Have completed an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in agriculture/horticulture or related subject and wish to proceed to a Diploma in Teaching (Secondary).
Or are currently teaching and wish to undertake further study in order to teach in the Agriculture or Horticulture fields.
Description:
Criteria
The L.A. Alexander Agricultural Teaching Scholarship is open to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who wish to gain a teaching qualification that will enable
them to teach Agriculture and/or Horticulture in New Zealand secondary schools. This could be a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (secondary) having completed an Undergraduate degree in Agriculture/Horticulture or related subjects, OR another approved qualification and pathway.
The value and duration of the scholarship shall be determined by the Trustees.
Consideration will be given to academic achievement, the demonstrated commitment of the candidate to a career in secondary teaching in the subjects of
Agriculture/Horticulture (in its broadest sense) and candidates who have been educated in, or who aim to teach in Taranaki.
Application Information:
The Scholarship shall be awarded by the L.A. Alexander Agricultural College Trust Board.
Selection will be based on academic achievement and demonstrated commitment of the candidate to a career in secondary teaching in agriculture/horticulture (in its broadest sense). Preference may be given to candidates who aim to teach in Taranaki.

Certified copy of previous courses or subjects including grades and course code number
Each upload used as a supporting document,
must be certified
as a true copy by a Justice of the Peace or a School Principal.
