The PKW Trust and Te Korowai o Ngaruahine Trust are excited to offer the inaugural joint PKW-Ngaruahine Scholarship. PKW are continually finding opportunities to partner with our Iwi in Taranaki and Te Korowai is proud to partner with PKW to increase ways of supporting Ngāruahine uri.

The scholarship is designed to support Ngaruahine uri to keep pursuing their tertiary goals. There is one scholarship available this year to the value of $2,500.


Please note:  If you receive a Te Korowai scholarship you are ineligible for the joint PKW-Ngaruahine scholarship, but are eligible for all other PKW Scholarships.  You may apply for  as many PKW Scholarships as you wish as long as you meet the criteria.  However, you will only be eligible to receive one scholarship or grant per year.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
·  Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
·  Whakapapa to Ngaruahine
·  Not have completed a Postgraduate qualification
·  Be endorsed by a registered member of Te Korowai o Ngāruahine
·  Be endorsed by a living PKW shareholder
·  Be enrolled in your second year or higher of your Undergraduate studies
·  The course of study should align to the business needs of PKW and Te Korowai o Ngaruahine

All unsuccessful Scholarship candidates will be automatically considered for PKW Tertiary Grants.
The value of Tertiary Grants will vary depending on the number of applications received.  To be eligible for a full Tertiary Grant you must have paid more than $1,000 in course fees and be studying full-time.  All other applicants will only be eligible for a Partial Tertiary Grant.
